What trim level options are available?
The Ram 1500 comes in 10 different trim styles: Tradesman, Express, HFE, SLT, Big Horn, Sport, Rebel, Laramie, Laramie Longhorn, and the Limited. The workhorses of the trims would be the Tradesman and the Laramie Longhorn. These trims vary when it comes to luxury levels with the Laramie Longhorn having more technology and advanced interior design, but both trims come with tow hooks, a spray-in bedliner, and a Class IV receiver hitch. The more basic simple starter truck would be the Express although if you want a better fuel economy of the HFE is available. What engine options are on the Ram 1500?
Three engines are available to choose from for the Ram 1500. The starting engine is a 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque 3.6-liter V6. The second engine option is a 240 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque 3-liter turbodiesel V6. Both of these engines gave an eight-speed automatic transmission. The final engine is a 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque 5.7-liter HEMI V8. This engine comes with a six-speed automatic transmission and the option of an eight-speed automatic transmission. The choice of two-wheel drive or four-wheel drive is available to all engines. The highest EPA rated fuel economy is 29 miles per gallon on the 3-liter turbodiesel V6.
What features are available for safety and security?
The Ram 1500 comes with a lot of standard safety and security features. Some of these features would be hill start assist, stability control, four-wheel antilock disc brakes, a trailer-brake controller, front-seat side airbags, trailer-sway control, and full-length side curtain airbags. Additional features may be available on upper level trims or can be added through packages and standalone options. The Ram 1500 had also received a five star overall crash protection rating.
